Pastor Steve, what an awesome job you did Sunday morning at the 9:00 AM service! You preached on exactly what I needed to hear! I realized today that I am putting my "hope" in my circumstances instead of putting my "hope" in the Lord. Like you said our hope is not built on our circumstances, it is built on our Lord Jesus Christ. I loved your testimony about your illness, I never knew you had gone through such health issues, you always have such a sweet smile on your face every time I see you. I am praying for you and your family.

As I have spent time with God in silence and prayer. I began to think of the people that I encounter each day. I decided to think of them as a link in a chain I was building for God. It occurred to me that the old saying "A chain is only as strong as it's weakest link" certainly applies to my chain if I do not pray.

If I surrender myself to Gods will for my life in prayer. Meaning I except that everything and everyone I encounter is meant to glorify God. Then all my strength comes from God. To pray for others, is asking God to strengthen their lives. I must also surrender my prayer to God's will for that person’s life. If then my prayers don’t get prayed and there is not God given strength in their life, they are weak. Therefore I am weak.

While blessing myself was not on my agenda when I was convicted to pray or asked to pray for the life of others. I have certainly blessed myself with strength by praying for my weakest link. So it is, and always should be, my honor to pray others. Even if the encounter with them was not the best.

When we take notice of a weaker area in another link and lend a bit of our strength to hold them together it becomes an action in their life. I saw our church do that with the home makeover last week. Prayers convicted an action and that action was right and good. So we all became a bit stronger. Thank you for your love. You not only blessed them, but you blessed us all.

My family visited NABC Sunday. My son has been visiting your church while he is doing an internship in Asheville this summer. He has been sharing with me about the services and especially the "Extreme Makeover"! I truly felt the presence of the Holy Spirit in your place of worship. The friendly people, the music, the message and then all the precious children at the end of the service blessed my heart so much! I can see why God led him to visit your church! I give thanks to God for you! Thanks for being a "home church" to him while he is away from home!
May God continue to bless your ministry!

This is Wednesday July 9th and I just got home from one of the best church services I think I have ever attended in my life! I thank God for a church that is so filled with the Holy Spirit and for the wonderful music we sing, and for a pastor that is not afraid to preach THE GOSPEL. I am SO blessed to have my church!

i love the way God reveals Himself to us. He spoke directly to me thru both rick and the team's worship set and pastor jd's message on 7-9. and the naby nyc skit was really solid! i am so thankful just to be near so many great men and women of God. isn't the prodigal's older brother's attitude just like so many of ours? well.... maybe not anyone else's, but he reminds me a lot of myself and just like the prodigal's older brother, it's time for me to grow up! my prayer is that i'll have a heart for those who are lost and that God will use me as part of His will. pray for naby nyc.

The blessings of my family have been greatly enriched by the love and support of my life group. In hard times and good times they are there with prayer, love and a ear and shoulder to lean on. Most importantly they are there with their prayers, not just a "Iam praying for you brother" but genuine heart felt, going to the throne in prayer, bearing the burdens that can not be carried alone. Knowing that there are people willing to honestly help lift your needs before the Lord is truly the best blessing I have had the privilege to be apart of several small groups over the last few years and what I have learned about our church and small groups is that there is not just one good small group they are all great. And my prayer is that God will greatly bless every member of my life group and the other life groups that have given me and my family such blessing and love.

Eternal Truths has been an extreme blessing to me and my husband. NABC is so filled with the Holy Sprit! We can't even go to another church in our area. We feel as if NABC is our church home. It troubled us that we did not have a local church to go to at first. However, we reasoned that we would not want to have another Pastor except PJ or Pastors from NABC. And that we could express church by loving people that we meet in daily life of being a light in the darkness. Eternal Truths / NABC is our church. We do come to visit to NABC when possible. We are saving for a trip to the Holy Land (God willing) with NABC. Our glory to God for blessing us through ET/ NABC!

PS The last time we came to NABC we had the opportunity to meet Scott (singer). He so impressed us with his smile and warmth that we still think about him and that day. It was Easter Sunday. What an awesome service!
